We have always taken considerable pride in bringing fresh, healthy fruit to your table. It was true when we sold our first bushels of apples at the local farmer’s market. And it remains true today as our apples are sold by the truckload, offered by the finest retailers spanning the globe. From humble beginnings, Martin’s has grown into one of the country’s largest full service apple growers and packers. It has been a long and sometimes difficult journey, but we remain passionate about what we do.
As a growing company, we are inspired by fresh ideas. In 2012 we challenged ourselves to try something new and added a processing facility to complement our apple growing and packing operations. Located just minutes away in Elmira, this operation is leading the way, preparing innovative and in-demand products using our homegrown apples. We are adding value to our crop in various ways. Custom slicing and dicing, dehydration and a juicing line for fresh apple cider enables us to supply both prepared foods and local craft cider industries. This facility is also home to our signature line of crispy apple chips that are cherished coast-to-coast by health conscious snackers.

Our Waterloo–based facility is equipped with the latest computerized fruit sorting, grading and packing technology. Specialized equipment allows us to pack–to–order, handling multiple varieties and pack formats each and every day. While automation is becoming more essential to our business, a gentle touch is required for our delicate product. Our skilled employees ensure that every apple is treated with care, lending their expertise to help us meet the highest quality standards for our fresh fruit. Each run of apples is thoroughly inspected, ensuring we are meeting strict standards for pressure, brix, colour and size. It is our job to ensure that each and every customer can feel absolutely confident in the quality of our fruit.
The Elmira plant was built in 2012 with the future of processing in mind. State of the art equipment for pressing, slicing and dehydrating dominate the facility, optimizing all available space for maximum efficiency. BRC certified for apple slicing and drying, our apple products and processes are rigorously monitored and evaluated for compliance to strict traceability and food safety protocols. The facility is completely peanut and tree nut free and strict allergen protocols are in place, allowing for complete confidence by our business partners and ultimately the consumer.
