Statement of Commitment.

In keeping with our values of building a strong and supportive work environment, Martin’s is committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities and the accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) to the best of our ability.

Policy Guidelines

Martin’s will strive to ensure that all policies, practices and procedures are inclusive and free of barriers to people with disabilities.


Martin’s will post on job advertisements that accommodation is available during the recruitment process for applicants with disabilities upon request.

Accessible Point–of–Sales Programs and Devices

When acquiring point–of–sales programs and devices, Martin’s will strive to incorporate accessibility criteria and features where feasible.


Martin’s will provide training to all team members on the requirements of the accessibility standards under the AODA and on the Human Rights Code as it pertains to persons with disabilities.

Information and Communication Supports

Martin’s will strive to ensure that our process for receiving and responding to feedback are accessible to persons with disabilities. Martin’s will provide or arrange for alternative formats as requested.

Martin’s will ensure that where practicable, all of its new websites and web content shall conform to the World Wide Web Consortium Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 — Level A.

Employment Standards

Martin’s is committed to provide equal employment opportunities, including to people with disabilities. Martin’s has a return to work process for employees who have been absent due to illness, injury or disability. We will do our best to provide job accommodations and modified work as needed.

Design of Public Spaces

Martin’s will comply with the AODA Design of Public Spaces Standards when undertaking new construction and redevelopment of public spaces in the following areas; exterior paths of travel, accessible parking, obtaining services and maintenance.
